That's the sort of behavior that really pissed me off when proprietary companies did such things.
They pissed a lot of people off, at least a lot of Ada developers. Fortunately, they did it fairly late in the game, so there is still a vast majority of the runtime covered under the GPL-with-exception. It basically caused a fork of the runtime.
