Has anyone used this tool before or even heard of it?

FYI,
while searching for info on another issue, I ran across a mention to use
the "lshw" command to show info on a wireless card. It might be of interest
as a generic tool instead of lspci type output.

Never heard of it until now. Some Google search shows that it is
available on freshmeat.net and apparently first showed up in Dag
Weiers repository. It is available from the Fedora 9 repository.

Trying it shows lots of information, some of which may be useful. It
reminds me much of a similar tool that was commercially available for
Sun hardware, with a free .edu license.

Neat little program.

But it reports something on several items that I find curious: "UNCLAIMED"
Also "DISABLED" on one other item.

# lshw | grep -i "unclaimed\|disabled"
*-cpu:1 DISABLED
*-display UNCLAIMED
*-usb UNCLAIMED
*-usb:0 UNCLAIMED
*-usb:1 UNCLAIMED

Detailed info on these items (manually filtering out seemingly unrelated info):
