Perhaps some kind of snapshot system where you could restore back to known good hard drive image? :) Maybe you could even create a "poor man's snapshot system" this way.... 1. Copy ENTIRE harddrive to /tmp/.my_snapshot. 2. Hack away to your heart's content. 3.
