If you don't mind carrying another small lump with a connecting cable, get a D-Link DWL_G730AP. It is billed as "Wireless Pocket Router". It will do several things, the simplest one is to connect to a wireless network and convert it to wired ethernet. Sort of the inverse of an Access Point. So if your laptop can handle wired ethernet, this gadget gives it a wireless connection. I bought one because it was cute and looked useful. Eventually Jim Doyle showed me how to make it work in this simplest application. carl -- carl lowenstein marine physical lab u.c. san diego [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- KPLUG-List@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
