Chris,
        Thanks for taking the time and having the thought to contact me about a
server.
        The box I have that might be what you are looking for is:

Intel Dual Core E2200 + RAID Dedicated Server
      * Intel Pentium E2140 Dual Core 1M cache (Allendale)
      * 1024 MB Kingston Memory
      * 3Ware RAID card
      * 2 x 250GB SATA Disk Mirror
      * 250GB/mo Bandwidth
      * Custom OS Configuration
      * Free Setup
$129/mo.

        I can knock a few bucks off ($9/mo off) if you do not need the RAID
card, but we will not configure a software RAID instead. We only support
RAID with the 3Ware card in most cases. If you just want the second disk
for a backup place, then that will be fine. I can do that for $120/mo.
        This CPU does not support VT, and is only 800MHz FSB, but given your
budget, it seemed appropriate. We can do Core2Duo E6550 and E6750, but
those are going to be a bit more. Presently, on our web site we still
list E6320 and E6600, but we are just making sure we are out of stock on
those before we put the E6550 and E6750 on the web site... these are
actually hat we are delivering now... same for the E2140, we are
actually giving E2200's to customers that order the E2140.
        With 64-bit OSes you will consume more RAM for the same tasks, so you
might consider a second Gig for $10/mo additional. Or, you can go with
32-bit Debian. But of course this is only a suggestion.
        There is no setup fee and we will do custom partitions for no charge.
We also do not include or force any Control Panel. The bandwidth is also
entirely different than Cari's. This is located at the same data center
as KPLUGs "sparkplug" server (AIS). Using Avaya CNA (formerly Route
Science) to improve upon BGP. Cari uses fewer carriers, and no CNA, and
has had some slow BGP convergence times when link failures have happened
in the past.
        We are provisioning a new rack tonight and a few servers.. we have been
sold out of space and power for a few days. If we can't get you in
tonight, we can get you up tomorrow night.

        What kind of issues are you having at Cari.net ?

Mike
