SE-Linux is one of the major differentiators gives it a distinct advantage over Windows. I have always wondered why MS never developed policy based managment that has this level of granularity. MS was one of the major proponents of DEN (directory enabled neworking) about 6 or 7 years ago. GPO's do offer some degree policy based mgmt, but it is geared more around admin rights and such. With SE-Linux you can lock down a actual directory, but you can't do this with GPO's.

It is now standard in Fedora/RHEL/CentOS and perhaps other distros. There are new tools to help administer it and the policy has been improving constantly. -- KPLUG-List@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list -- KPLUG-List@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
