What are some examples of RAID/Enterprise SATA drives vs desktop stuff?

Western Digital 750GB RE2 Enterprise:

Difference is 3 year vs. 5 year warranty, and higher claimed MTBF. It's my understanding the drives are identical internally, but the firmware is tuned slightly differently.

The biggest difference seems to be how error recovery is handled. The RE2
is designed for a RAID and gives up more quickly, rather than a long
timeout causing the entire drive to be rejected by the RAID.

I suspect the price difference might just be because a lot more people
carry the desktop model.
