Yeah, that would be interesting.

Curious..(?) or --I don't know-- maybe that might be understandable on
the principle that the client (or user) may be overriding previous
headers of that type.

You might try (saving a copy and) sending a reply just to yourself the
next time you get one so marked. Then look at headers that got removed.
