The thing is we don't all care about spam enough to 'do something' about it. I don't care for whales, medical marijuana or table grapes so I'm not going to 'do' anything about them just because a bunch of other people think I should. Seems a bit militant to me. Note: I have never bitched about spam. The things I *do* care about I participate in and donate to, spam just isn't one of them. I don't envy you choosing to be your own ISP and making this much work for yourself. We all can't save the world, too many superheroes would not be good. I'm perfectly fine being a cog in this world. The world needs cogs. The royal 'you' would be drawing me into a fight I do not care to participate in, even by clicking a stinkin' link to get on a whitelist, which most people agree is not a viable solution to the problem, even if everyone participated. I don't disagree with the 'cause' in principle but I do think that much of the 'fringe' attempts at abating spam are doomed to fail, or have already failed. That's why I choose to not participate: I don't percieve it as such a big problem and the purported solutions do not work. A deadly combination for me. -Matt -- KPLUG-List@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
