Actually, the original meanings were

Alpha: The developers tested it.
Beta:  The testing department tested it,
       limited numbers of customers get to see it.
Public Release: We've posted it on the internet
       for everyone to download and run.

People used to use terms like "feature-complete"
and "stable" and "development version" instead of
distorting otherwise-meaningful labels.

Now, when code that doesn't compile is released
to the public, those labels are pretty meaningless.

Thus endeth my pet peeve rant. :-)

So then, for those definitions Zumastor is pre-alpha and all is well. ;-)
