Yes but I'm not sure they didn't just take a conventional CPU and optimize it for Lisp. That is no more interesting than optimizing a CPU for Java or Python. I'm looking for something more radical. Or...barring that...I'm wondering if many have written a small Scheme-ish layer on top of a CPU and written <insert favorite language> on top of THAT.
