This isn't really true. <http://www.cliki.net/ASDF-Install> for a fairly
decent list of packages all with an auto-installer. Most of these work
portably across multiple implementations.
Uh, yeah. If you can get ASDF installed.
And don't get me started about Common Lisp *packages* ... brrrr.
