No  clue.  I know why they couldn't support it (mem mapping the drive), but not 
wether it was hurd or the microkernel.  I would expect it to be in hurd though- 
 the microkernel is more of a message passing framework, I would have expected 
hurd to do anything like disk access.  I could be wrong though.
