In answer to your questions: -- Near end user. Built on a framework would be preferable in the same way that open source is preferable: even if I don't hack on the system directly, I still benefit indirectly. And if I need to hack, I can. -- Looking to deploy. -- Not looking for a model for a new Cobra app server. This is all about leverage. I figure CMS's should be getting mature enough that for ordinary needs, I should be able to use a system rather than build yet another. I will definitely check out your links although I'm looking for something even higher level than django.
