I apologize for the double post but it seems that the kplug-announce list is broken.
There is going to be a Linux installfest tomorrow (12 Mar 2005) at That Technical Bookstore (previously San Diego Technical Books) < http://www.thattechnicalbookstore.com/ > from about 10am till 2pm. These installfests used to be hosted by SDLUG, but they abandoned it. Thanks to Carl Lowenstein, the store will continue to host installfests but we need KPLUG to help support it. So if you need help or you can provide help, show up and keep this event going. We (meaning Neil Schnieder, Glynn Reynolds, Robert Donovan and a few others) are also working on getting the installfests going again down at the National City Adult school. It's a great facility with lots of room, spare monitors, and good Internet access. The principal has changed once again so it requires some convincing to have the event opened as a class. We started at the KPLUG meeting last night by collecting signatures of people who are willing to attend to show the level of support for such an event. We'll keep you posted on how this progresses.
