I was at the last installfest at That Book Store on April 9th with a
problem with the RH install on my PC. This was resolved and FC 3 was
installed on it. When I returned home and tried to boot into FC 3, I
started seeing strange graphics behavior - mainly graphics refresh
related issues. My HP Pavillion 6535 has an Intel 810 graphics chipset
and I googled for this problem and found that I had to run Up2Date and
get the latest X11 drivers. I managed to selectively only bring this
update and after the update completed, the installation works fine but
the graphics is too sluggish and the PC seems to run really sllllooow.
I went ahead and picked up the remaining updates through Up2Date and
now there are 2 installations of FC on grub during boot
(2.6.10_1-770_FC3 and 2.6.9-1.667) but the new version through update
hangs during bootup at "Starting cups:". The mouse and keyboard lock
up completely. I have to power cycle to get out of this. The older
version boots up but the is very sluggish. I had RH and Mandrake
earlier but they did not seem to have this sluggish behavior.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Praveen.
