bring broadband internet connectivity to low income housing and
interested community groups primarily by using 802.11a/b/g wireless
standards. Various core members of the group will be presenting an
extended and extensive "show and tell" covering:
* the various homebrew gear they've used over the years, including
distros based on Linux and FreeBSD that form the core of their networks
* what they did in Mississippi to help out after Katrina (photos
too) lessons learned about network deployment
* how they monitor and maintain their networks using Linux-based
Open Source products like Nagios and Cacti
* recent developments in wireless networking mesh equipment
* anything else wireless related that is of general interest to the
audience
Also, don't forget the raffle!
The Installfest at National City Adult School for this month had to be
canceled due to facilities availability problems. "That Technical
