Making steady but slow progress getting Linux(es) set up on my Dell Latitude D820 laptop computer, I'm ready to try and install drivers for intel 3945 for Fedora 6 (with ubuntu 6.10, they were already loaded when the installation CD recognized the device). Unlike ubuntu, Fedora already loaded NetworkManager. Details at http://www.kernel-panic.org/Members/cmaier/hamburger-lugnut-log , as usual.
My question now: Which is the best place to look for the intel 3945 driver? I'm aware of http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/ , but if possible, I would like to postpone the step of compiling a module from source for yet another while. So, are there Fedora Core 6 compatible repositories that aren't preconfigured in pirut? What would be a good place to start looking for them?? -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-newbie
