Is there any good way to transfer a spreadsheet developed in Gnumeric

The export translator from Gnumeric to OpenOffice OASIS is marked as
_UNFINISHED_
It doesn't crash, but on the other hand it doesn't convert anything
but the page titles. No data seems to come across. This is Gnumeric
version 1.6.3 and ssconvert version 1.6.3.

I can save from Gnumeric as comma-separated values (.csv), and then
import to Calc which brings across all the numeric values in their
proper cells, and the text column headings. But numeric formatting
and inter-cell formulas are lost. This can do only one page at a
time.

A long shot: copy cells to clipboard and paste into OOo.
