eMachine of a friend. Weirdness, often won't even boot or get to bios. Swapped ram, booted, seemed ok. Put old ram back in, booted. Ran memtest86+, got errors immediately.
Put other ram in again, same symptoms as original ram! Testing ram in another computer, it seems fine after all. All in one type mbd, Athlon 2400(?) cpu. What else is testable separately to see if mbd and/or cpu is bad? Worth trying to find just a mbd for this cpu, or stick a Fry's ECS mbd/cpu combo special in the box?
