There is a change to the meeting topic for tomorrow's (12 Feb 2009) meeting. The new topic is "Linux and Remote Environmental Sensing".
Small programmable sensors called motes collect environmental data and send it either wirelessly or over USB to a Linux collection terminal. The collected data is made available in a database for later analysis. The motes are programmed from Linux using a cross-compiler and Free software, and run an operating system called TinyOS <http://www.tinyos.net> So come join us while Mo, Neil, and Gus attempt to explain how all the pieces fit together to make all this work. Gus __ Struggling to pull this off at the last minute. -- KPLUG-Newbie@kernel-panic.org http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-newbie
