I dunno, it's pull instead of push. That's only a benefit if there are enough people and conversations on -steer that are otherwise unrelated to our server travails. But only if the people who *do* care know to go check the blog, or configure their RSS reader to pull it.
I'm not sure I'm a fan of blogs for documentation, since what happens when some important stuff scrolls past?
