I'm not listening to their words at the Board meeting, but their
actions and speeches before their own group. They have disparaged SDCS
and pissed-off one of the most level headed guys I know, Gus Wirth, to
the point that he left, rather than flatten Claude at the meeting. I
don't need to know much more than that. They couldn't care less about
SDCS, despite their nice talk. Claude in particular is two-faced.
He'll talk nice to your face, say what he thinks you want to hear,
then lie about you when he thinks you're not listening.
I ratified the election last year, because despite the under-handed
way that SDMUG took over SDCS it was within the rules. I watched as
they maneuvered toward their real goal, which was to seperate
themselves from SDCS. I thought many of the rules they implimented
were good for SDCS. When it became clear at the last board meeting
that their real intention all along was to seperate themselves and
their treasure from SDCS I began to seeth. This was all a part of
their grand conspiracy. It took them this long to get their 501(c)3 in
place so they could execute the final act. This has never been about
what's good for SDCS. It's all been part of a grand ruse to carry us
all along with their plot.
At the last meeting, when Claude said he was trying to persuade others
in SDMUG that they should stay in SDCS, I still wanted to believe him.
Out of the other side of his mouth came the admission that the
membership of SDMUG was so compliant that they would go along with
whatever his board suggested. That's when the die was struck. He all
but admitted that there was a conspiracy, when he said something to
the effect that he felt bad about what transpired at the SDCS
election, but not that bad, and he would do it again. He implied that
he would argue against the seperation of SDMUG and SDCS at the
upcoming meeting. When I heard reports from Lan and Gus about that
meeting, I knew that they had all conspired to remove SDMUG from SDCS
and that Claude was lying. I also heard that one of the SDMUG members
had raised an objection that they hadn't even consulted with the SDMUG
membership before going out and creating their own corporation.
Apparently they didn't think it was important enough to consult with
their own membership about it.
In my opinion, if you believe that any of the current officers on the
board give a damn about SDCS you are extremely naive. Lie to me once,
shame on you. Lie to me twice, shame on me. We were all conned. I
agree that it's all water under the bridge, but it doesn't mean I have
to allow it to continue. I want them to go, take their precious
treasure with them, and don't darken the door of an SDCS meeting
again.
They demonized Ed Van Meter. They embarrased a lot of long time SDCS
members, who wanted nothing more than to do the best job they knew
how. They essentially pushed aside some good people that the election
committee had arm twisted to get them to run for the board. UCHUG
left, it appears, because most of the UCHUG membership doesn't trust
them, and it appears they are mostly right. They are not in the least
civil when someone gets in the way of their goals.
Have I made myself clear enough? Is anyone willing to refute the
history above and convince me that it was not all a conspiracy to
separate SDMUG from SDCS? I'm really surprised at the number of you
that are willing to placate them, for the sake of civility and
"getting along". YOU'VE BEEN CONNED!!!! Are you going to thank them?
And what is adult about lying down while someone beats you about the
head and shoulders? What is adult about allowing a group of
co-conspirators to remain in control of a group they have already
decided to abandon? I can't see why anyone would want that.
I have only one vote. And, if I think there's any chance I won't be
able to contain my anger, I won't attend the upcoming Board Meeting. I
had planned to be there, but if it will disrupt the civility of the
proceedings and raise my blood pressure, I will pass.
I'll see you all tommorrow night.
