Nope, I'm the membership chairman. But I don't plan to do anything about it until I get back from China on 7/15. If I get back to find that I've been unseated in a coup, my first act will to be to take the conspirators out for a thank-you drink. Barring that happy eventuality, I will take all the input (Claude's data base, Gus's old data base, current input from the sigs) and through the magic of perl, shell script, and Tcl/Tk, primp the data and then populate a Postgres data base. I will them publish appropriately (mostly Sig numbers for SDCS voting statistics) and plan with the board a mailing to reintroduce SDCS to the life members. Assuming all that's done before the Superbowl, I may actually raise the issue of promoting new memberships and new sigs with the board. On the seventh day I will rest. Question: Does SDCS have a published privacy policy?
