I have a perhaps equally beat up Thinkpad notebook that dual-boots W98
and Linux, and has been used to connect to the CD/DVD duplicator. Oh,
to give it a name, some of us have been calling it Pandora2.
One reason for trying to make Linux-based support software is to have
something that could be scripted, so as to handle the 120 ISO images
that accumulated in years 2002-2003 as well as the 30 or so from
2004-2005. Of course it's a one-time job so maybe manual entry is
easier but less interesting.
