Well, I spent a half-an-hour poking around to no good result.

I didn't find anything related to events at the zmi entry (Folder at /)

at /kplug_main/events
couldn't find any setting that looked like it affected access/view

at /kplug_main/portal_calendar
Access contents information -- didn't help
 same for View, or both

at /kplug_main/portal_contentpanels
 View .. no effect
same for Access future portal content, or both

at /kplug_main/meetings and sub-sections:
  general (General)
  installfest (Installfest)
  lpsg (LPSG)
these seemed promising, but all seemed to already have things checked
(another pair of eyeballs might help)
  Access contents information
  List folder contents
  View

ummm, it couldn't be that there's really a different zopedb or zmi in
effect during the temporary relocation -- or something like that???

Regards,
..jim
