First, let me apologize for the misunderstanding between Mark Langford and myself. I am disappointed that we couldn't have worked out some sort of arrangement, but such is life. Out of respect for Mark's KRNet list, I have changed the name of the Matronics list to simply, the "KR-List". Otherwise, everything is the same as described in my original welcome message. I do realize that the Matronics List will be a parallel list to Mark's. Perhaps a bit of variety in management techniques will be beneficial to the user community. I certainly don't want to force anyone to be on the Matronics List that doesn't want to be here, however. I encourage those that would prefer to be only on one list or the other to use the respective unsubscribe feature as required. To unsubscribe from the Matronics List, simply go to the Subscription URL ( http://www.matronics.com/subscribe ) and enter your email address and select the KR-List and/or KR-List-Digest as required. Please note that Admin approval is not required for unsubscription requests as was previously stated. I would like to extend a warm greeting to all of the new KR members on the Matronics List that choose to stay. I think you will find the system fast, reliable, and easy to use. There are a number of URL links at the bottom of this message that will give you access to the myriad of features available including the Search Engine and List Browsing. I would still like to incorporate the many years of KRNet List archives into the Matronics search engine, and depending on availability of the raw data, I will try to get these added in. I have removed the cross-posting address from the Matronics KR-List so messages sent here will no longer be automatically forwarded to the KRNet-List. Also note that the operation of the Matronics Lists does differ some from the KRNet-List. On the Matronics Lists, a Reply is by default sent back to the whole list. Over the years, I have done a number of polls of the various lists and the overwhelming response has always been for this method of operation (as opposed to the Reply just going to the Sender). The logic here is that this List is a Forum and dialog is *encouraged*. Replys to the List will stimulate much greater traffic. Granted, some of it may be chatter, but most of the time it is a valuable contribution to the topic of discussion. Again, I encourage everyone to use the new KR-List group at Matronics. If members are interested in setting up an associated web site with much more KR-specific information, I would be happy to work with one or more people. The content control will be your's, I will provide the system and access.
