I have been searching for a replacement landing light and just can not seem to find the right one. I re did my lower cowling which has caused the need to change the big square Halogen unit out. I would like to find something that is as compact as possible, gives the best ilumination using the least amount of power and that I could preferably french into my lower enigine cowl. Remember space in there is limited , with the exhaust and all. I am running the 2180 Great planes. Oh and by the way, I am looking for something at a resonable price and that is not 100 bucks. I am thinking I need to check my alternator output because when I hook test lights up to my car, they are a lot brighter then when I hook them up to my airplane. Current tests have been with 55 watt projector lights ( crap) and I am not sure the rating of my original halogen but I think it is 50 watts. ANY IDEAS ?
