So , I am going to bore you with more pictures of the progress of my airplane cowling. Again, most of you know that I took off my lower engine cowling about a year and a half ago. I wanted to modify and glass in a new intake scoop and landing light assembly. This was a very tedious job as I hand land all of the glass and then had to painstakingly fill and sand and fill and sand. Well, it is 1:35 AM EST time and I just came in from the garage with pictures of the cowling with 2 coats of clear. Tomorrow I will wet sand with 1000 grit and put on 2 more coats..... and then it is done. Except of coarse putting on new camloc fasteners. But first I have to make a camloc tool. I am not about to spend 40 bucks for a glorified pair of pliers. Here are a couple of pics. I am very happy so far with how it is turning out. Next up. I am going to build a set of fiberglass pressure cooling baffels.
