This 2006 comparison of filesystems suggests that it’s not quite up to fame: http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/388 http://fsbench.netnation.com/ dials back on that a bit; but the fact remains that convictfs knows no shame when helping itself to your clock cycles and memory circuits.
