Subject: novice's notes on learning OCaml From: Norman Hardy <[email protected]> To: [email protected], Kragen Sitaker <[email protected]> Norm Hardy here. Hope you are doing well. I just wanted to say thanks for your note at http://lists.canonical.org/pipermail/kragen-tol/2007-February/000847.html which (with Google) seems to have answered a question just now. I find the OCaml documentation good for casual users but inadequate for a deeper understanding. I think that Benjamin Pierce’s "Programming Languages" is very interesting but it shouldn't be necessary to read such a book to use a new computer language. Perhaps I would not have gotten as far as I have without that book. I will read your note more carefully before I send any comments but it got me beyond a libref usage hangup. Which e-mail address should I use? ----- End forwarded message ----- -- To unsubscribe: http://lists.canonical.org/mailman/listinfo/kragen-discuss
