It's a hoot to read, and is a time capsule into the automotive world at the time. See the link below if you have a few hours to kill learning interesting trivia about the state of the automobile repair industry in 1922, including the prediction that all automobiles would be running pure ethanol by 1925!

The interesting part of that prediction was that he said the peak in oil production would be reached in three years (1925) and a new fuel supply would be needed at that time. In spite of all the oil we've used since 1925 the supply is still growing with each passing year. One advantage with oil over alcohol is that when the car crashes and bursts in to flames, with oil you can see the fire.
I got in my last flight of the year (crappy weather for the next few days) and now trying to convince myself to overhaul the 0-200 over the next few months. It has the hit the 2400 hour mark since factory overhaul in November of 1973, some 40+ years ago. I have most of the gaskets and seals to do the job and my single greatest monetary concern is the condition of the crank when I tear it down. All the accessories have been recently rebuilt and I plan on installing rebuilt "straight bore" cylinders from Chuck Ney http://www.chuckneyent.com/cylinderoverhaul.asp I've tasked myself with making a decision in the next two weeks so if I do the overhaul I'll be flying again before spring. I have no reason to believe the crank will not be serviceable but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
