Dan, Sorry to hear about your incident. Glad it was no worse. I learned the lesson on fuel mixture years ago when I was doing a high speed pass down runway 03 at KSTE (Stevens Point). I was about 20 feet off the deck cruising about 170 when I went to pull up and applied power and things started going haywire as the engine started sputtering. Thank God it immediately hit me that I did not put the mixture back on rich and as soon as I did she came right back to life and up up and away I went while saying a little thanks to the big pilot up in the sky.
