Good, Bad and Ugly chunks of foam are being glued around the engine on my KR-2 to make a new cowl after moving the 2180 VW forward a total of 2-inches over the plans location. Jim Faughn had made that recommendation to me years ago at a Gathering at Mt. Vernon. A few of us are sometimes slow on the uptake. I now see the error of my ways and am alive to tell about it. The old cowl had been modified every which way with extensions, bumps, air ducts and ballast mounts; it is now a museum piece. I am relinquishing my claim for the heaviest engine cowl on any KR aircraft.
