A tape measure is "close enough for KR work"! The fuselage is a bit tough to get perfect, because you're bending several pieces that are under tension and when released, you can't be sure of where they're going. It won't be perfect. Wings are more important to get right, but they're not under any loads while epoxying in place, so they'll be right where you put them when it's over. I spent a lot of time to get my whole plane perfect, and in the end I still had to add trim tabs to an aileron, the elevator, and the rudder. Propwash is going to screw it up, even if the plane is built perfectly. I'd plow on ahead and get it reasonably close. It doesn't have to be absolutely perfect....
