That plane had a relatively high stall speed due to the thinner wing and 
different airfoil.  Without back checking, I think it's a 23012, which has a 
pretty sharp stall characteristic.   I hope the new pilot was aware of that 
when he bought it, and didn't drink the RR Koolaid on stall speeds.  I stood 
by the runway at one of the early Gatherings and photographed Roy landing. 
Although it was relatively calm (as I recall) it was a pretty hot landing. 
I was well off the runway, but the wing almost got me in the somewhat hairy 
landing...
