The millions go to the promoters. Blame the people who expect 'someone else
to do it". It is part of the 'business'. Just curious... how many owners of
flying KR's attend the gathering each year; seems to get smaller each year.
We know who the dedicated builders are, they show up every year and sing the
sanding song. I'm not even close to there yet; [old wanna be].

I am close enough to go to Oshkosh every year, but I am getting frustrated
as well... if I need a carnival I can go to Chocolate Fest.

You're not the only one to draw that conclusion. A builder who won best auto
engine award pondered why those who fly in to support the "FLY IN" have to
also pay for the privilege. I only attended Sun n Fun once due to distance
but noticed extreme commercialism with daily attendance fees, food, booth
fees, etc. I heard Airventure was even worse ..... making me wonder where
does all these excess millions $$ go?

"Lets get together and wonder why more KR folks are not here enjoying the
show."

One possible reason you might conclude is that you can buy a KR project
or even an entire plane for what one spends
to change options
