I posted before that Bob Nuckolls had some reservations about using lithium ion batteries. I just got the latest issue of /Kitplanes, /and he has written further on the subject. He now has tested one battery. That just supplies several data points for one battery.
For those of you interested in using lithium batteries, I urge you to read it. He isn't saying, "No, don't use it," but he is saying that there are some small but very important differences in the use of lithium-ion batteries, and those using them need to be aware of them. At least for this one manufacturer, he found that the battery's performance fell short of the advertised specs. Kitplanes will be on the newsstands soon for those of you that don't subscribe.
