When I designed my aileron controls I made them adjustable for up and down
travel. I do not remember why but I was a bit leery of having the
differential travel so I drilled push rod attach points in the bell crank
which would give me equal aileron travel and also the differential travel.
When I made my first flight I had them set for equal travel since that was
what I was used to in flying spam cans. I was so pleased with the
performance and ease of flight control that I never did swap them over to
the plans differential version and still to this day I fly with equal
aileron travel. As far as rudder input on turns it is so minimal that I do
not even realize I am working the rudder if I even do. On a slow lazy turn I
do not even input the rudder and the ball will stay centered. Only on real
sharp abrupt turns do I use rudder input.
