I'll give a third option, similar to Mark Jones but with more roll over protection. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32133949/IMG_8669.JPG I have a 1 inch thick windshield bow and a one inch thick turtle deck bow. The gull wing door opens approximately 60 % of the cockpit for easy entry and exit. The right side panel is easily removable for maintenance or easily broken out in case of a roll over.
