I have always thought that we should have a different way to choose the next Gathering site. It is always going to favor somewhere in the vicinity of the current site, because it is more convenient for those closest to the site to vote. And, what do you suppose they vote for?
People who fly their KR get 5 votes, or maybe more. 10 would not be unreasonable. Attendees get 3 votes. All netters not attending, get 1 vote. New England would be great, but where is that? I am sure it is on the other side of the world from Oregon or the Pacific Northwest. Also, for those of you who want to submit your requests for a location, you need to be specific and be willing to HOST, and that is a lot of work. You also must have your proposal presented at the Gathering. If you cannot be there, you can have a representative do it for you.
