Play in a control surface hinge is flutter waiting to happen. I would try to take care of it ASAP. Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. Just the wrong amount of "excitation" could get it started. I've had good results with dry lubes containing teflon (PTFE) or motorcycle chain lube on control surface hinges. As far as I'm concerned the dry lube is clearly the winner between those two.
