Following Jeff's lead, I just PayPal'd Dan some money to help keep the Gathering in the black. Over the years, I've donated or contributed to the event in various ways, but for a number of years during the time the Gathering was going on I made it a habit to post an unsolicited request for funds to defray the cost of operating the KRNet. Mark Langford has never asked for anything in this regard but this list has provided me with a connection to the KR community and a heck of a lot of great pilots, builders, and friends over the years and some very good things have come out of the KRNet. I felt that since I was not attending the Gatherings, the least I could do to participate was to post something to the list about supporting the KRNet because I think the Net has done a lot to keep up the popularity of the Gathering. With the 2015 event now in the books, I have managed to maintain my perfect record of missing every single KR Gathering that has been held since I joined the Net sometime around 1993. That's 22 years of perfect missed attendance ;o) Not intentional, mind you, but this year was the worst because the event was held within a mere few hours' drive of me and I was still not able to attend. I was to have flown up to the event with my friend and former KR2 owner/pilot Paul Martin but the charging system on his Tri-Pacer was down for the count.
