I don?t recommend others doing this but just that the KR-2 is probably the easiest and most forgiving tail wheel airplane I have ever flown. I had a lot of experience (not logged) in aircraft such as citabria, commonwealth, Stolp Star Dusters, Cessna 140 and 120. I also had about 4000 hours of F4 Phantom simulator as well as T-38, T37, 727, L-1011, DC-8, DC-9 and B-757 time. My point is don?t be afraid of learning how to fly the KR-2 in it?s original design, it isn?t that difficult to see over the nose while taxing, it doesn?t have much of a tendency to ground loop either. JUST FYI from a self taught conventional gear pilot with the original built to plane (including the retracts) KR-2. Thanks Parley Byington N54PB KR-2 Henderson Nevada byington1954 at embarqmail.com
