HI guys?! new member, one month, but looking at KR for so long time! Alain ZEN, Fontainebleau and Montpellier, France ? ?big news in my paddock! I just bought a new extraordinary plane on a very low level budget, that could, and will, be my low cost cruiser! So, the vintage racer can become again kind of racer! And not only economy/racer? Well, just find, 2 hundred meters from the company where I work, a nice KR 2, non flying, but with only minor work left. Come with a hangar place, which is itself , a rarity overthere!! She was built by Kerry Vaughan, from Hamilton, Ontario, in the end of the 80? Sadly, Kerry died test flying his new built Lancair? C-GKAV??? first flew ??Feb 18 1988 ?Awarded? a few time ?Best KR BUILT?, firt time in Covington, October 1988 Went to Lakeland and Oshkosh in 1989 event Occasionally flew ?by ?DAN DEIHL in 1990,?? few different owner in Canada until export to Europe (Belgium) only ?463 hours at that time. Arrive in France sometime around 2008/2010? 538 Hours ! Engine overhaul, (Limbach L 200 )? then goes to true dual ignition system, (8 Spark plug) mag+electronic And only 13 more hours since?? 551 hours grand total! Now it is registered as an ultra light (!!!!) Come with VHF, XPDR, 2 GPS ( Garmin 695/696, AvMap ?EK VI ), new (0 h) prop and carbon spiner New instrument panel, one ton of parts and tools!! For the price of an old Japanese bike!! What I have to do on this plane?? Finish /rebuilt the flap system according ultra light registration, making a new seat, some cosmetic work around engine fairing, ?paint job??.flight test!
