I am attempting to build a fiberglass spinner. ??It is harder than it appears
or I'm not as talented as others. ?I first used the original aluminum spinner
as a female mold. ?I waxed the inside, cut pieces of cloth, epoxied and then
instead of vacuum bagging I filled a bag with water, placed it inside of the
spinner to squeeze the layers of cloth together. ?When it was done, most worked
perfectly with a smooth finish but I had a week spot and flaws. ?So I then used
that part as a positive mold like Mark Langford I used duct tape as a mold
release and cut the cloth to fit from a patern I made out of paper. ?The result
is not very pretty. ?
Now that I'm practiced I will try the female mold again after I find a better
way to organize the cloth pieces.
I Wish I was at Oshkosh this year. ?
