Today I rose from sleep at just before 5AM with visions of flying my KR dancing through my head. Straight to the coffee pot and after downing a cup I headed to the airport. The drive there was one hour and fifteen minutes. Much to my dismay when I got there visibility was 1/4 mile with ceilings at 200 feet. You see, the fog devil had rolled in. It was not till about 9:30 that blue patches started to appear through the fog. I had some folks stop by that wanted to see my plane and after that I took to the air. By now I was getting pressed for time as I had other commitments I needed to tend to. So after burning holes in the sky for one hour I tucked her back in the hangar and headed home. Thanks to traffic it took me one and a half hours to drive home. It was like fighting a headwind while driving. Even having to deal with all of this the flight was awesome and it felt great to be back in the air in my KR.
