Justin You can get aircraft quality birch plywood from A/C Spruce or Wicks or any other supplier. It is cheaper and heavier than Mahogany and I have used it. I would not attempt to cut corners on plywood even on my tight budget.

Is this ok for airplanes? I know a fellow plane builder in my chapter who is building his plane with Birch but im not sure where he got it. I am no expert in anyway (obvously) on what is acceptable.
