KR>Partial project

Hi,
I am new to this group and would like some input.  I have found a KR2
partial project.  The fuselage has the plywood applied length way,
rather than what the plans call for.  The original builder gave up.
Twenty years later, I wonder if the fuselage is repairable.  Any insight
would be appreciated.
