Here are the finished tanks from Dana. All that is left to be done is
install the top panel and sending unit.

Subject: Finished tank!!

> OK, Mark here you go.

> This picture shows the tank with the top on, fuel line pickup and vent
line
> fitting installed along with quick drain. Doesn't look like much.

> Notice on the elbow I used an RV trick and made a anti rotation bracket.
> Without this, when you tighten the outside nut you tend to turn the elbow
> thereby raising the aft portion of your pickup line off the bottom of the
> tank. I've angled the elbow down so that you won't have such a pronounced
> bend in your alum. pickup line. Proseal is messy as you can see but
the
> more the better.

vent
> line positioning. The vent line is 1/4" alum. with a 37 degree flare for
> the AN fitting.

> This pic shows the outside vent line and fuel pickup elbow. Here you can
> see the vent line pointing down so all you have to do is run a straight
1/4"
> line down through the wing for venting. In this one you can also see the
> run of the vent line itself and it's position in the forward most outboard
> corner of the tank. It is proseal to alleviate vibration. This is also a
> good pic showing the baffles and their height 1" below the top of the
tank.

> This is the 20" side, 5" front, 3" rear shot showing the wing profile and
> how it will sit in your wing between the spars. The quick drain should
come
> very close to the bottom of your wing skin without extending into the
> breeze. This also shows the 3" rear centered with the 5" front, much more
> appropriate for the new airfoil than the RAF48.
